What We Offer

Here at Ngatea Early Learning Centre our care and teaching is child centered. 

Our team is made up of full time permanent and casual teaching staff including a Head Teacher, Registered Kaiako, Student Kaiako, our group Manager and centre owner who all work well together to achieve the best possible outcome for children. 

Our entire team have a passion, dedication, love and care for our centre and children.

Our Curriculum and Planning

At Ngatea Early Learning Centre we acknowledge and embrace the diverse and various needs of each child, following the lead of individual children through their exploration and discoveries. The management team and educators, in partnership with whānau, promote, support and extend the development and learning of each child, within their interests. We continuously review and plan our curriculum to ensure it is meeting the needs of our children.

Portfolios

Here at Ngatea Early Learning Centre we use an online application - Storypark - for communicating and sharing the learning of our tamariki. This allows us to involve you, and your whānau, in what is happening during the days your child is in care with us, strengthening our partnerships with you and the life-long learning of your child. 

We aim to provide each child an individual learning story highlighting and documenting thier progress each month. Additionally we also write group stories. All stories are posted on Storypark and printed. Printed copies are placed in learning books for children and whānau to look at whenever they wish.
