What We Offer

Here at Ngatea Early Learning Centre we operate around providing a natural and stimulating learning environment with inspiration from the Reggio Emelia philosophy and RIE. Our team is made up of permanent and casual teaching staff, team leader, manager and centre owner who all work well together to achieve the best possible outcome for children. We have a well established team and regular relievers who love and care for our centre community by encouraging and lifting each other, supporting one another and having fun together.

Our Curriculum and Planning

At Ngatea Early Learning Centre we acknowledge and embrace the different needs of each age group, and follow the lead of individual children through their exploration and discoveries. The management team and educators, in partnership with whānau, will promote, support and extend the development and learning of each child, within their interests. 

Portfolios

Storypark - Here at Ngatea Early Learning Centre we use an online application for communicating and sharing the learning of our tamariki. This allows us to involve you, our whānau, in what is happening during the days your child is in care with us, strengthening our partnerships with you and the life-long learning of your child. 

In our centres we also have a hardcopy profile book available for viewing. We encourage our whānau to take some time to look through these books, and even take them home to share with others. Our tamariki love looking through them, especially seeing past photos and experiences.
